After the relatively low box office takings of 'Intolerance', D. W. Griffith would revisit his epic film three years later by releasing two of the film's interlocking stories as standalone features, with some new additional footage. The first of the two was 'The Fall of Babylon', which depicts the conflict between Prince Belshazzar of Babylon and Cyrus the Great of Persia.。丹和他怀孕的妻子在山路上开车，却被坏人劫持。被坏人用枪指着头，夫妻俩与亡命徒斗智斗勇。。阿龙（黄奕良）虽是小混混，却对妹妹（林里嫔）和青梅竹马的杜伊蕾（朱乐玲）很好；伊蕾和令正（陈天文）是因为双方的父亲同是监狱官而认识的，令正很喜欢伊蕾，不过伊蕾对青梅竹马的阿龙心有独钟，但很可惜的是阿龙始终没走上正途，而阿龙也自知不能给伊蕾幸福。。
