影片改编自知名电子游戏《俄罗斯方块》的著作权争夺。在1980年代末期，防弹软件的荷兰游戏设计师亨克·罗杰斯（塔伦·埃哲顿 Taron Egerton 饰）为了获得“俄罗斯方块”的版权，深入冷战时期的苏联，与苏联当局进行谈判。。清朝末年，因海外入侵清政府内部更加混乱不堪。官员之间的贪污受贿也已屡见不鲜，一些不法商人为了获得最大利益做了很多违法事件。官商勾结中也闹出了不少笑话……。Young lovers, Max and lime dream to live life together, but there comes a war, and everything that seemed inviolable — their feelings and plans falling apart like a house of cards.
