Nahuel lives with his father in a fishing town, yet he has a deep fear of the sea. One day, he finds a magical book that seems to be the solution to this problem, but a dark sorcerer is after it and captures Nahuel's father. This is where his journey to rescue his father and overcome his fears begins。得到父亲（太保 饰）去世的消息，女儿阿梅（王莉雯 饰）从台北回到乡里，和哥哥一起为父亲操持后事。在师公严格指挥下哭丧，折纸莲花的唠叨妇女们，被太阳晒爆的罐头塔……阿梅时时被荒诞的乡下丧葬习俗、彼此联系诡谲的乡里人情弄得哭笑不得，与父亲的往事一幕幕涌上心头，成年以来的二人 疏离，在回忆中才慢慢贴近。繁琐冗长、笑多过泪的丧事终于处理结束，阿梅独个回到城市繁忙生活。几个月后，阿梅过境香港机场，习惯性想买一条“黄长寿”烟给父亲，突然惊觉父亲已经不在了，一直没好好流过的泪此刻终于决堤……
