徐仲良因为地下党员也是邮递员的父亲遭到日本人暗杀而走上了革命道路，在担任邮递员传递情报的过程中，他相继失去了他的同事——地下党员也是邮递员的周三，失去了同情并帮助革命的神父布朗，失去了他的第一个妻子——除奸队员秀芬。但仲良没有退缩，并与当时埋伏于敌人身边、为我党传递情报的苏丽娜共同努力，一次次出色的完成各种重要情报的传递。在上海解放战斗中，仲良因当向导遭到敌人的伏击受了重伤，仲良在这个环境中将自己锤炼成一个彻底的革命者。。Charlie talks wealthy farmer's daughter Tillie into eloping with him (and taking her father's money).
