是医生而是由财阀出身的专业经理人来担任。新任社长具胜孝（曹承佑饰）认为身为企业追求利益是理所当然的事，他对医院的巨额赤字心怀不满，一上任就要派遣医院3个赤字科室去地方医院。而一直以来只是安静地做自己份内事的急救专科医生芮镇宇（李栋旭饰）与只在乎医院收益的社长立场相悖，于是他决定站出来表达立场，两大阵营的矛盾也就此拉开帷幕。太空探测器发出的怪声导致地球风暴，并面临自毁的威胁。寇克船长和他们的船员再度担负起拯救人类的使命。他们发现怪声其实是座头鲸的呼唤，唯一的选择就是回到20世纪去带回一只座头鲸来对探测器作出回应。。
