The show was performed by twelve international dancers, seven musicians from the European, contemporary classical collective s t a r g a z e and the Irish traditional concertina player Cormac Begley...。林蕙兰（陈炜 饰）的丈夫在一场意外中不幸身亡，年仅一岁的女儿婷婷亦下落不明，几乎在瞬间，林蕙兰失去了一切。之后，绝望而又痛苦的她和丈夫的好友夏鹏飞（张晨光 饰）走到了一起，殊不知婷婷流浪到了山区，改名换姓被称为明珠（李沁 饰）。
一晃眼二十二年过去，明珠凭借着自己的智慧和努力从山区返回了城市，恰好来到了夏鹏飞所在的公司应聘，并且遇到了曾经青梅竹马的伙伴李超（韩栋 饰），李超深深的爱慕着明珠，却三番五次的遭到了后者的拒绝。夏鹏飞的公司表面看来家大业大，但实际上早因为资金的空缺而濒临破产的边缘。。
