《寒秋》由广西首届及第六届签约作家龚桂华同名小说改编，是其长篇小说《解放》三部曲(《寒秋》、《世情》、《尊严》)第一部。 《寒秋》演员组合也颇有新意，导演没有启用明星大腕来撑场面，而从剧中人物气质出发，大胆启用了19岁新人王子文担纲女主角秋红。秋红是剧中灵魂人物，围绕着这个女人三个家族开始了几十年明争暗斗，秋红也随之改变了自己一生命运。导演看来明星可以造就，演员则自然而天成。外型颇具古典美,四川女孩王子文有着独特南方气质，有灵气。。The film was written and directed by Stuart Urban, and commissioned to mark the tenth anniversary of the Falklands War. The film was closely based on the historical record, and all of the major incidents portrayed were drawn from contemporary accounts by those who took part. Filming took place on the Falkland Islands and at Ealing Studios. Urban is a fluent Spanish-speaker, and plays an uncredited role as the Argentine radio operator.。
