六岁的男孩折民民在一次意外中，失去了双腿，折民民母亲也因为过度悲痛，在去医院的路上从悬崖掉落，失去了生命。父亲折保军付出了常人难以想象的艰辛将残疾的儿子抚养长大，不料因常年操劳，自己却得了绝症。为了不影响儿子，折保军只能隐瞒病情，在有限的时间里尽量为儿子铺好以后的路。不成想折民民其实早已知道父亲病情。一个残疾、内心被现实打击得千疮百孔的儿子；一个年迈、身体被病痛折磨得油尽灯枯的父亲，在最后的日子里，父子二人相依为命，获得了彼此的救赎，留下了人世间最真挚的爱的印痕。。Laura loses her family in a tragic fire while living in Spain. Just as she prepares to return home to the States, a member of the American embassy provides proof that it wasn't an accident.
